Mission Statement Our Project is dedicated to helping as many men, women and children as we can – providing dignity and love from the heart in a caring environment. It is our goal to help families by being a resource for items that families need, while creating an element of hope for a brighter tomorrow. It is also our goal to educate families that want to help people but don’t know how. Our team can help generous families help others. PJB Programs Project Just Because, Inc. runs various programs throughout the year serving basic needs of families, children, and seniors. We have special opportunities during the holidays to help people in need by providing not only basic necessities, but also an emotional boost during what can be a difficult time. PJB Non-Profit Status Project Just Because, Inc. has been a federally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization since September 2004. According to federal tax regulations, donations to our organization are fully tax-deductible. All donors can receive a receipt which can be used when filing your taxes. What We Do
Free Grocery Store: Project Just Because is currently assisting over 250-300 families per week. We provide our community with farm fresh vegetables & fruits, high quality proteins, dairy products, dry goods, shelf stable items, beverages, sweets, breads from our local bakeries, toiletries and personal hygiene items. No appointments needed and no ID's needed. Let us help fill your pantry. All MA residents are welcome to shop in our grocery store. 211 Emergency/Domestic Abuse Program: We provide an array of house necessities to help individuals and families who have experienced a crisis (such as domestic abuse incident, natural disaster, flood, house fire or transition from shelter) to help get the client back on their feet. Available to all MA residents. Clothing Program: We provide free clothing for adults and children. Come by and shop by size at our store from seasonal to professional work attire. All MA residents can shop in our clothing store. No Id's or no appointments needed. Back to School Program: We will provide a new backpack which your child can come and pick the backpack of choice. They will then go shopping and fill it with the much needed school supplies for preschoolers through seniors in high school. This usually includes pens, pencils, folders, notebooks, highlighters, clipboards, 3 ring binders, rulers, crayons, glue, calculators and many more items. Keep a Family Warm Program: We will provide you/your family with winter coats, hats, gloves and blankets for all ages. Our goal is to make sure we keep our friends & their families warm during the winter months. Thanksgiving Program: We will provide all the items needed for Thanksgiving Dinner to remember. Holiday Gift Program: We will provide as assortment of holiday gifts for children up to age 17. No child should go without gifts during the holiday season and we are here to help make sure that doesn't happen. Hopkinton Food Pantry: We provide perishable and non-perishable groceries for Hopkinton residents packed for curbside pick up or delivery available for those who need that assistance. Gluten-Free Food Pantry: We provide an array of gluten free groceries for those clients that suffer from this medical condition. All MA residents can shop in our gluten free grocery store. No appointment or ID required. Birthday Program: We will provide a couple of toys and a book for children aged 1-12 years old (and a limited supply of birthday bags with party items such as decorations, cake mix etc). Available to all MA residents. Basket of Love: We will provide you with a basket wrapped with a bow and filled with necessities for those special circumstances such as a new baby, someone going through cancer treatments, and life transitions. Available to all MA residents. Valentines Day Program: We will provide a little Valentine love for children up to age 12. Depending on age the gift bag includes an assortment of bubbles, mini stuffed animal, candy, toy, chalk or crayons, mini book and snacks. Available to all MA residents. Easter Program: Easter baskets for children to age 12. Depending on age the basket includes an assortment of bubbles, stuffed animal, stickers, candy, toy, chalk or crayons, mini book and snacks. Available to all MA residents.
